- Buddhist New Year : In countries that practice Vajrayana or Theravada Buddhism they celebrate Buddhist New Year three days from the first full moon day of April. While in countries that practice Mahayana Buddhism celebrate Buddhist New Year on the first full moon day of January.
- Vesak (Buddha Day) : A major Buddhist festival of the year, Vesak Day is the celebration of the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha. Vesak is celebrated on the first full moon day of May, Except on a leap year the festival is held in June.
- Sangha Day (Fourfold Assembly) : Second most important festival Sanga Day is a time when Buddhist monks and nuns get a chance to reaffirm their commitment to Buddhist practices and traditions.
- Dharma Day (Asalha Puja Day) : One of the most important days of the Buddhist calendar it marks the day Buddhism was founded, typically celebrated by reading Buddhist Scriptures and is a chance to reflect deeply on their content.
